NVISEA

Funding

Funding for our operations varies from year to year. Core hatchery operations are funded by DFO’s Community Economic Development Program (CEDP).

Steelhead production is funded by the Freshwater Fisheries Society of British Columbia (FFSBC). Various provincial and federal contracts fund the Keogh Fence and swim enumeration.

One luxury NVISEA has is the operation of the Regional District of Mount Waddington’s (RDMW) Quatse River Regional Park and Campground. Profits from the campground are leveraged with community partners to purchase necessary equipment and to fund habitat restoration and community education programs.
